Red Wine Sloppy Joes

I have a house divided, my husband loves his meat and my daughter and I love to cook meatless meals. So to appease everyone, one day I'll make a meatless meal and the following day I will make a meal with meat as the centerpeice.

Tonight I made Sloppy Joes and my family devoured them. I love adding hidden treasures in food like shredded zucchini and watch with delight as my family enjoys their meal.

Ingredients:
1 lb. lean ground beef (ground turkey works just as well)
1/4 c red wine
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 c shredded zucchini
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
1/2 jar of a garden variety pasta sauce (you can also use the whole jar for extra sloppy joes)
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tsp orageno
whole grain hambuger buns

Directions:
Brown meat in large frying pan. In a medium pan saute the vegetables. Once the meat is browned add the wine, veggies, pasta sauce and seasonings. Simmer for 20 minutes. Assemble sandwiches and enjoy.

Bon Appetit,
Elle
